Ingredient List

ORGANIC BORAGE OIL - Borage officinalis

The borage plant generates thousands of tiny black seeds which are cold pressed to create this anti-ageing carrier oil. Borage oil is best known for the fact that it is the richest known source of Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA); an essential fatty acid which can’t be made by the human body. GLA occurs at 16-23% in borage oil and is believed to help aid in firming skin and regeneration of the skin cells.

Avocado oil is extracted from the fruit itself, rather than the seed/stone. Known for its great moisturising properties; avocado oil is rich with vitamins A, B1, B2, D and E, and contains amino acids, pantothenic acid, lecithin, essential fatty acids, plus plenty of minerals such as potassium, phosphorus and magnesium.

ORGANIC CALENDULA EXTRACT - Calendula officinalis

Calendula petals contain substances with anti-fungal, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, astringent and immunostimulant properties, which are extracted through maceration. Calendula also stimulates the production of collagen which also assists in the healing process.

ORGANIC HEMP SEED OIL - Cannabis sativa

Hemp seed oil does wonders for dry or itchy skin. This oil has anti-inflammatory and healing compounds; is highly nutritious, packed full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fatty acids.

Extra virgin olive oil is rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K. It’s naturally high in squalene, an oil that mimics your skin’s natural sebum, so it’ll leave your skin barrier extra smooth and soft, and it’s also full of antioxidants, making it a natural anti-ageing extract that works hard to fight environmental skin damage. These natural antioxidants are often destroyed during processing; which is why it is important to us that we invest in high quality certified ingredients, whilst ensuring careful manufacturing practises, at all times.

The antioxidant properties of coconut oil come from its saturated fats like capris acid, caprylic acid, caproic acid, and myristic acid. They are known to counter adverse effects of ageing, macular degeneration and sagging of the skin. The acids described above convert themselves into anti-microbial and anti-fungal agents like monocaprin and monolaurin when in contact with certain enzymes.

ORGANIC CACAO BUTTER - Theobrama cacao

Cocoa contains theobromine, caffeine, anandamide, flavonoids, sulfur, proteins, magnesium, tryptophan and polyphenols including epicatechol. It also consists of numerous fatty acids like palmate acid, myristic acid, oleic acid, linolseic acid, glycerides and stigmasterol. Cacao Butter exhibits anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, cytotoxic, nutritive, antiseptic, bactericidal, antispasmodic, emmenagogue, diuretic, nerving, aphrodisiac, stimulant and anti-oxidant properties.

VITAMIN E - Natural tocopherol

A-tocopherol is the name of the most active form of vitamin E in human that is maintained in the blood circulation. Vitamin E benefits are due to the antioxidant properties: it helps to stabilise cell membranes and protects the biological tissues which are more sensitive to oxidation.

Kawakawa leaves contain active constituents such as:
Volatile Oil – 45-70% in essential oils & contain up to 3.5% in the dry herb (compromised mainly of myristicin)
Mixed cadinenes – 12.2 % essential oils – 0.43%  in dry herb
An aromatic ether related to Eugenol which is a local anaesthetic found in Clove oil. The presence of other pharmacological active compounds such as flavonoids and alkaloids seems likely to occur, based upon analysis of related species.
Kawakawa is been known to have Anti-dyspeptic, Anti-inflammatory and Analgesic properties which help to combat a large range of skin problems

Beeswax carries antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that help target several skin conditions. It forms a protective layer by sealing moisture in our skin and is a natural method for protecting the skins lipid levels. Due to the high level of antioxidants in beeswax, scientists are currently studying its full potential.

ORGANIC LAVENDER EXTRACT - Lavendula angustifolia

Widely known for its antimicrobial properties, for centuries lavender oil has been used to prevent various infections and combat bacterial and fungal disorders. Research shows that lavender oil speeds up the healing process of burns, cuts, scrapes and wounds — and a big part of this is because of its antimicrobial compounds.
